an oil study where I wanted to play with thick paint, complementary colors, and quick brushstrokes to remind myself of a terrific hike along the Jay mountain ridge trail. .

Dawn in the Valley - work in progress My favorite subject on a dawn walk in Keene Valley. They didn't cut the grass this year and it grew in high and turned the color of straw. 12x24in oil on birch.
