I wish to paint the joy I feel by being in places I love, trying to capture in paint the colors of light and the spirit of stone and water.

Intersection
I think the little barn in this painting must be the most painted and photographed building in the park. I backed up a bit and added the stop sign just for fun as if saying "Don' t paint me . It's been done." 9x9 oil

The stop sign is such an appealing element, that pop of red, that I almost wish the building in the back of the canvas was out of sight. It almost appears as if the stop sign is a tall visitor from another planet, peering at this scene for the first time, full of wonder!(after all there are no trees on his planet)
Would love to see a field of signs, although it may not be photoreal. One feels the sense of joy the artist experienced when painting from his easal, next to the stop sign.
